God’s superlatives

Ephesians 3:20-21 “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

How important is every word in the Scriptures as the infinite God works to get his superlatives across to us!  The verses above say that God is able to do what we ask or think according to the power that works in us.  More than that, He can do all that we ask or think.  And still more, He can do above all that we ask or think.  But beyond that He can do abundantly above all that we ask or think.  But even beyond that He can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, and He can do all of this according to the power (which is actually His power) that works in us.

What an encouragement to pray and meditate on the things of God, and to anticipate how He is able to use those who know Him to do his work.
